Nd:YAG 1064
Treats All Skin Types - Including Tanned Skin
Due to the deep penetration and low epidermal melanin absorption of Nd:YAG,
less heat is absorbed in the epidermis. This results in a more efficient
treatment of the target (hair follicle or vessel) for all skin types, not
just I and II. Even tanned skin is treatable, extending the opportunity to
perform procedures into the summer months.
Effective Cooling
When using a longer wavelength, higher fluences
can be applied to enhance outcomes. The best results are obtained when
cooling is applied before, during and after the laser pulse. This provides
maximum epidermal protection and prevention of pain.
Precision of Spot Delivery
It is important to place the treatment spots in a precise
manner. Since ideally during laser hair removal, visual tissue effect is
minimal, it is quite difficult to distinguish treated areas from nontreated
ones. Delivering laser energy via computer controlled Large Area Scanner
greatly facilitates operation versus applying individual spots manually. The
area covered with the scanner is larger than the area covered with
individual spots, which simplifies the alignment and saves time.
Additionally it reduces the chances of overlap thus decreasing thermal
spread.
Faster Treatments
IMAGE™
utilizes not one but two Long Pulse 1064 nm lasers. Combined with the Large
Area Scanner, treatment times can be two times faster than other systems.
This is especially beneficial on large, tedious areas such as backs and
legs.
